Canon PIXMA G3190 Driver Download » The PIXMA G3190 is a 6.5 x 17.6 x 13-inch (HWD) printer with an enclosed tray. At 14.1 pounds, the G3260 is compact and lightweight. It is identical in size to its predecessor, the G3200, but about a pound heavier.

Its size and thickness resemble some of Epson’s EcoTank competitors, including the EcoTank ET-2720 and EcoTank ET-2760. HP’s closest competitor to this Canon is the Smart Tank Plus 651 All-in-One, while Brother offers several entry-level AIOs in its INKvestment Tank line, such as the MFC-J805DW.

We believe this one can become an all-purpose printer if the scanner is present. Scanner proficiency depends on whether the scanner has an automatic document feeder (ADF) to handle multi-page documents.

Like its predecessor, the Pixma G3260 doesn’t have an ADF, which means you must put long documents on the scanner glass one page (or side of a page) at a time. Of the machines mentioned above, only the Brother MFC-J805DW and HP Smart Tank Plus 651 provide an ADF.

Another feature common to cartridge-based AIOs in this price range is that many have color LCD touchscreens. However, of the bulk ink models mentioned here, only the HP has a touchscreen, and the screen is monochrome.

The old-fashioned, techy Pixma control panel still applied to the Canon PIXMA G3190 doesn’t have much to discuss. Still, the good news is that you can check ink levels by simply glancing at the individual color-check windows on the front of the printer, as shown below. The cyan, magenta, and yellow ink tanks are on the right side, with the larger black tank on the left.

For paper handling, the Canon PIXMA G3190 model can hold up to 100 sheets of plain paper or 20 sheets of premium photo-sized paper in a tray that pulls up and out from the rear of the chassis.

The Epson ET-2720 and ET-2760 have similar trays, although neither Canon nor Epson publishes the maximum and recommended monthly print volumes or duty cycles for their consumer-grade inkjets.

The HP 651 can also hold up to 100 sheets, and while it doesn’t have a maximum duty cycle rating, HP mentions a recommended monthly print volume of 500 pages.

In contrast, the MFC-J805DW can hold up to 150 sheets, and Brother rates its monthly duty cycle at 5,000 pages, with a recommended monthly volume of up to 1,500 prints.

Canon’s $199.99 MegaTank Wireless All-in-One Printer is an upgrade from the Pixma G3200 reviewed in early 2017.

Apart from being slightly faster and $100 cheaper, this Pixma doesn’t differ much from its predecessor. It prints impressive-looking documents and, as a bulk ink machine refilled with bottles instead of cartridges, produces photo-sized photos for pennies, with some of the lowest operating costs in the business.

And unlike many ink tank printers, its lower selling price makes it a great value upfront or at the checkout. In terms of features, print speed, and capacity, the G3260 is mediocre, but its ability to print documents for pennies, no matter how slow, makes it a good deal for families and home offices.
